Tim WOOD 1979 -
BiographyTim Wood was born in Taunton, Somerset.
He graduated from both the Coventry School and Falmouth School of Art.
Tim Wood currently lives and workes in the South West of England. He takes his current inspirations from the Cornish coast, explores the common themes of harbors, rivers and coastlines.
The prints that he produces are a combination of using an offset lithography press and mono-printing:
"I like to 'play' with different shapes and lines with ink"
Tim uses aleatoric techniques, happy accidents often generate his prints. he sees colour and subject matter as a sense of his own self: landscapes encapsulate a quite contemporary and complex landscape.
Tim has worked at the Curwen Studio, Cambridge. Working one-on-one and alongside artists such as Antony Micalef, Colin Wilkin, Paula Rego, Mark Heald, Joe Winkelman and David Gentleman to create original prints.
