Visual Arts Scotland has been central to the contemporary art world in Scotland since the 1920s and today it has over 400 members throughout Scotland and England as well as further afield

The current president, Diana Hope says:
“We are an extensive community of artists, from those emerging and newly graduated, to well established figures, and provide opportunities to exhibit in some of Scotland’s most prestigious venues, and a hub for communication with both peers and with galleries and buyers throughout Scotland.”

Visual Arts Scotland is one of the few organisations that actively promotes and exhibits the artwork of contemporary visual and applied artists. It is the only multidisciplinary platform where painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, jewellers, ceramicists, glass makers, textile artists, furniture makers, and installation artists exhibit together.
